While Endeavour has inspired millions in the last decade on display, the best is yet to come. "That journey was just the beginning of Endeavour's enduring mission to inspire future generations of scientists, engineers and explorers." "As we celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Endeavour's arrival, one of the most rewarding things to reflect on is how everyone throughout California, Los Angeles and our local community came together to enthusiastically welcome home our national treasure," said California Science Center President, Jeffrey Rudolph. Since that opening day 10 years ago, nearly 18 million guests from across the world, of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds, have visited the California Science Center. Just a few weeks later, 1.5 million people lined the streets during the historic 12-mile journey across town from LAX to the California Science Center, before Endeavour opened to the public in the Samuel Oschin Pavilion to fulfill its enduring mission-to educate and inspire. So, is Wrestling Revolution 3D better than Fire Pro Wrestling? No, nothing is better than Fire Pro Wrestling. I will talk more about this game in depth as I go along. However, to get access into Exhibition mode and both Career modes (easier to get a good contract, or sign someone in Booking mode), and to unlock the editor, and removing all ads, it will cost $9.98 USD. It is free to download and play both career modes, and all the shows. This was surprising, because in the past he had it as a separate game. Much to some people's surprise, he also bundled in a Booking mode, which is similar to the WWE games universe mode. Finally, Mdickie spent the last three months releasing a Career mode similar to his other games, where you take a created wrestler and put him through a very detailed career. But in October, you only had "cards" of shows. Mdickie has spent the last nine months working on the 3D version of the game, which has been released in October. The game was developed by a single person nicknamed Mdickie, who has made plenty of wrestling games in the past, including Wrestling Revolution, which is like Fire Pro Wrestling, on a camera angle similar to the SNES wrestling games, and has a button based grappling system. The game is for mobiles, a small console called the Ouya, and there is a PC version of the game in development. The house where he and Masha lived has since been sold to a new family. He also pleaded guilty to the horrible sex crimes he committed against Masha and was sentenced to serve 35 to 70 years in prison. Two years ago, Matthew Mancuso was sentenced to 15 years on federal pornography charges. Sergeant Zaglifa says that to gain proper perspective on the severity of child pornography, it's important to call them "child sex abuse images." "When those images are being made," says Sergeant Zaglifa, "that's sex abuse in progress." He offers his expert advice for how parents can protect their children: "The number one thing is: No chat rooms." Her rescue, says Sergeant Zaglifa, was an unexpected reward for what he calls the "physically and emotionally draining" work of capturing child predators. Working with other agents, he traced Mancuso's Internet address to a location near Pittsburgh, where he was later arrested.ĭuring their investigation, police officials had no way of knowing that the little girl in the photographs was Mancuso's adopted daughter. Sergeant Zaglifa says his instinct told him this man was an absolute danger to children. Posing as a pedophile, Chicago area police officer Mike Zaglifa discovered Mancuso in an online chat room. Back in the states, Masha expected a nice American home with a bedroom all her own. No phone calls were made to his ex-wife or to his biological daughter. What she didn't know was the adoption agency failed to properly check her new father's background. But nothing could have been farther from the truth. Mancuso seemed like her knight in shining armor. He visited Masha several times at the orphanage, took her to nice dinners, and bought her candy. After months of waiting, Mancuso traveled to Russia to meet his new daughter. He contacted a New Jersey adoption agency requesting information on 5-year-old Caucasian girls, and chose Masha from a videotape. Meanwhile, 41-year-old Matthew Mancuso, a divorced father in Pennsylvania, was looking for a little girl to adopt. Soon after recovering from her traumatic ordeal, Masha was sent to an orphanage where she prayed that a good family would come to rescue her. We need to explicitly turn it off, by setting -webkit-font-smoothing to antialiased. I'm guessing they realized that it was doing more harm than good on modern hardware.Ĭonfusingly, MacOS browsers like Chrome and Safari still use subpixel antialiasing by default. In MacOS Mojave, released in 2018, Apple disabled subpixel antialiasing across the operating system. If you look at a modern monitor under a microscope, you won't see an orderly grid of R/G/B lines anymore. The physical arrangement of pixel LEDs has changed as well. Today's pixels are much smaller, invisible to the naked eye. Here's the problem: that article was written in 2012, before the era of high-DPI “retina” displays. You may have read a popular blog post, Stop “Fixing” Font Smoothing, that advocates against switching to “antialiased”. In the past, this was seen as an accessibility win, because it improved text contrast. This is a technique that aims to make text easier to read, by leveraging the R/G/B lights within each pixel. On MacOS computers, the browser will use “subpixel antialiasing” by default.
